Quick Queries are a series of search tools designed to help find important information concerning your NIH awarded grant(s) without the need for having an eRA Commons account. There are currently four query options available on the eRA Commons Quick Queries page:
In late November, these queries will all be moving to the eRA Commons system. You will be able to access all the queries from the eRA Commons home page (no log in required) using Commons Quick Queries link under Additional Links along the right side of the page. This move will result in a change in the URLs for each tool. If you have any of the tools bookmarked, please note that after the update the URL will no longer function and you will need to bookmark the new URLs.
The move provides two new features. One new feature is a new search tool, Grants Pending Closeout. This query will return a list of NIH Research grants due for Closeout for your organization over the selected last number of days. This feature is currently available via the eRA Commons home page as described above. The second feature is an added layer of security. Each query will require the completion of a CAPTCHA security check. CAPTCHA is an acronym for "Completely Automated Public Turing test to tell Computers and Humans Apart.” CAPTCHAs are used to thwart the automated extraction of information from websites.
NIH and eRA are committed to keeping information and systems as secure as possible. The new security step ensures that “web bots” cannot successfully mine information or initiate a denial of service (DoS) attack that could significantly slow response times or potentially cripple services.
We will send a reminder closer to the move.
