  • Industry Funding and EntrepreneurshipThe University recently relaxed its stance on the disposition of potential intellectual property from industry-funded research in order to further support a culture of innovation and entrepreneurship. Dr. Hank Foley, Senior Vice Chancellor for Research and Graduate Studies, and Chris Fender, OTMIR Director, will discuss the impacts of these changes across campus. Grant Fact Sheet Update: Per Diem Allowance, GRA Stipends


A new version of the Grant Fact Sheet, dated 07/23/2014, is available on the OSPA website.  Please access the current version here, noting the following changes: 

1. AAALAC Accreditation Date (p. 3)
The AAALAC Accreditation Date for all accredited areas of Columbia campus has been updated to 06/29/2014.

2. Travel and Meal Reimbursement Rates (p. 3)
As of July 1, 2014, the University changed its per diem allowance for domestic overnight travel outside of the state of Missouri to Contiguous United States (CONUS) rates as determined by the federal government.

3. Institutional Minimum Graduate Research and Teaching Assistant Stipends (p. 4)
Updated for the 2014-2015 academic year, including both master's/specialist and doctoral levels.

Data Sharing Expectations for NIMH-funded Clinical Trials


(NOT-MH-14-015) National Institutes of Health

The National Institute of Mental Health (NIMH) intends to establish the National Database for Clinical Trials Related to Mental Illness (http://ndct.nimh.nih.gov, NDCT), a common informatics platform for exchanging data from clinical trials. Awardees from relevant funding opportunity announcements are strongly encouraged to deposit data into NCDT.
