MU Grants Community,
Two important forms have been updated on our OSPA Forms Page – The Intellectual Property Waiver and the Publication Restriction Waiver. Please begin using these updated versions when requesting a waiver.
The new waiver forms were created to streamline the IP and publication waiver process among all UM campuses. The requirement to notify all employees and students working on the project has extended from IP waivers to publication waivers in an effort to ensure everyone, especially any student who may be working on their thesis, is aware the restrictions are in place. There is space in Appendix A of both forms to list the project personnel so that OSPA may notify them a waiver exists; there is no need to obtain their signatures. In addition, we have eliminated one of the institutional signature lines on the publication waiver, further streamlining the process.
If you have any questions or need assistance, please don’t hesitate to contact our office.
Minor changes and updates to forms occur from time to time. Obtaining forms from the OSPA Forms Page ensures you always have the most up-to-date materials related to grant activities.
